Newsboys - Go Remixed

Track listing:
1. Wherever We Go
2. Go (I Wanna Send You)
3. Something Beautiful
4. Your Love Is Better Than Life (St. Petersburg Mix)
5. City to City
6. The Mission
7. Secret Kingdom
8. I Am Free
9. In Wonder
10. Let It All Come Out
11. Gonna Be Alright

While releasing a remix album only 6 months after the original (simply titled 'GO') can easily be seen as a bit premature, GO Remixed certainly stands alone in its own right as an album. Much more than just touching up the original songs, most songs have been totally rearranged and many have an entirely different feel.

Stand out tracks include the opening track 'Wherever We Go' which is a fairly happy track with a lot of 'up', as well as the deep song 'Something Beautiful, which on the original album was a smash hit. The first track I really fell for on the album though was 'Love Is Better Than Life' (sometimes referred to as 'I duno') which gives the band an almost British sound (it should be noted however that most of the current line up is Australian) and features such powerful lines as "I dunno if I should push ahead or stop and grieve / I lie awake and wonder how to make a city believe / I dunno when it’s a ministry and when it’s a show / maybe neither, maybe both, I dunno, but this one thing I know".

The album also features strong, electronic version of worship songs 'I Am Free' and 'In Wonder'.

Quite a lot of the instrumentation on GO Remixed consists of synthesised sounds, and as such may not appeal to all fans of the original album. However if you like strong beats driving your music, this album is definitely worth a look.

Jonezetta - Popularity

Track listing:
1. Welcome Home
2. Get Ready (Hot Machete)
3. Communicate
4. Man in a 3k Suit
5. Backstabber
6. Popularity
7. The Love That Carries Me
8. The City We Live In
9. Bringin' it Back Tonite... Everybody Start
10. Burn it Down!
11. Imagination

This debut album from 'Jonezetta' features some great songs, each somewhat different to the other. A number of the tracks feature almost 'dance-like' beats which accompany the lyrics. If you are a fan of TobyMac or Falling Up - there's probably more than a little something here to entice you into purchasing their album.

Jonah33 - The Heart of War

Track listing:
1. Bullets
2. Fire at Will
3. Scream
4. Brand New Way to Live
5. No Song Left to Sing
6. Bravery
7. Never Alone
8. Last One Standing
9. White Flag
10. Dying to Live

The latest album from Jonah33 takes a large swerve from the style of their last two albums 'Jonah33' - their self titled debut, and 'The Strangest Day'. This album is a lot heavier when compared to their previous work - and if you were a listener drawn in by songs such as 'This is it' or 'Faith Like That', you probably wouldn't find much to enjoy in this album.
